Order Selector - Afternoon Shift
About The Position
As a Shipper/Receiver, you will participate in distribution warehouse activities involving receiving, storing, selecting, shipping, dispatching, and delivering products to support effective and efficient warehouse operations and product transportation. The role includes selecting and preparing customer orders, handling inbound stock, loading trailers, operating warehouse equipment and scanning systems, and maintaining warehouse cleanliness and safe food-handling practices. The position is onsite and follows an afternoon schedule from Sunday through Thursday. Sunday hours are 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 a.m. or until finished; Monday through Thursday hours are 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. or until finished. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs. The work is physically demanding and takes place in an environment that may include cool or cold temperatures and exposure to potential allergens, including peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, wheat, and soy. Team members must be able to lift and move up to 80 pounds regularly and 50 pounds frequently, and perform activities such as standing, walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Requirements
- Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, electric rider jacks, electric pallet jacks, trailer lift gates, and pallet wrap machines.
- At least 6 months of related experience or 1 full year of non-related employment experience.
- Ability to repeatedly lift more than 50 pounds; the role also requires regularly lifting or moving up to 80 pounds and frequently lifting or moving 50 pounds.
- Ability to tolerate potential allergens, including peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, wheat, and soy.
- Ability to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Ability to withstand cool and/or cold temperatures.
- Availability to work overtime as required.
- Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, grasping and moving objects or controls, reaching, talking, hearing, and frequently climbing or balancing.
- Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, and the ability to focus.
Responsibilities
- Correctly select, palletize, and shrink-wrap customer orders for delivery.
- Receive and stock inbound products in designated locations.
- Rotate and replenish stock in designated locations.
- Safely load trailers in an even and productive manner.
- Operate handheld computers and scanning devices for SAP warehouse operations.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and follow safe food-handling procedures.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described.
