Order Selector - Afternoon Shift
About The Position
As an Order Selector (described in the posting as a Shipper/Receiver), you will participate in distribution warehouse activities involving receiving, storing, selecting, shipping, dispatching, and delivering products to support effective and efficient warehouse operations and product transportation. The role involves preparing customer orders for delivery, handling inbound products, loading trailers, operating warehouse equipment and scanning devices, and maintaining a clean, food-safe work environment. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday. Sunday hours are 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. or until work is finished; Monday through Thursday hours are 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. or until work is finished. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs. The position is onsite and requires working in cool and/or cold temperatures and tolerating potential allergens, including peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, wheat, and soy. Requirements
- Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, electric rider jacks, electric pallet jacks, trailer lift gates, and pallet wrap machines.
- At least 6 months of related experience or 1 full year of non-related employment experience.
- Ability to repeatedly lift more than 50 pounds; the job also regularly requires lifting or moving up to 80 pounds.
- Ability to stand and to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Ability to tolerate potential allergens, including peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, wheat, and soy.
- Ability to withstand cool and/or cold temperatures.
- Availability to work overtime as required.
- Ability to meet the role’s physical demands, including regularly standing, walking, grasping and moving objects, reaching, talking, and hearing; frequently climbing or balancing and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; and occasionally using sensory perception for product quality measurement.
- Vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, and the ability to focus.
Responsibilities
- Correctly select, palletize, and shrink-wrap customer orders for delivery.
- Receive and stock inbound products in designated locations.
- Rotate and replenish current stock in designated locations.
- Safely load trailers in an even and productive manner.
- Operate handheld computers and scanning devices for SAP across warehouse operations.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and practice safe food-handling procedures.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described.
