About The Position

Dawn Foods is hiring an Order Selector to participate in distribution warehouse activities that support receiving, storing, selecting, shipping, dispatching, and delivering products. The role helps ensure effective and efficient warehouse operations and product transportation. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday: Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (or until finished), and Monday through Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. (or until finished). Overtime and weekends may be required based on business needs. This position requires operating warehouse equipment, handling products and orders, working in cool or cold temperatures, and following safe food-handling practices. The employee must tolerate potential allergens including peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, wheat, and soy. The physical demands include frequent lifting and moving of products, with regular lifting or moving of up to 80 pounds.

Requirements

Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, electric rider jacks, electric pallet jacks, trailer lift gates, and pallet wrap machines.
At least 6 months of related experience or 1 full year of non-related employment experience.
Ability to lift 50 pounds or more repeatedly.
Ability to tolerate potential allergens including peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, wheat, and soy.
Ability to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to withstand cool and/or cold temperatures.
Availability to work overtime as required.
Ability to regularly stand, walk, use hands to grasp or move objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear.
Ability to frequently climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 80 pounds and frequently lift and/or move 50 pounds.
Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, as well as the ability to focus.

Responsibilities

Correctly select, palletize, and shrink-wrap customer orders to prepare them for delivery.
Receive and stock inbound products in designated locations.
Rotate and replenish current stock in designated locations.
Safely load trailers in an even and productive fashion.
Use handheld computers and scanning devices for SAP warehouse operations.
Maintain cleanliness throughout the warehouse and practice safe food-handling procedures.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described.
