About The Position

The Order Selector works in the Purchasing Department Food & Beverage Grocery Store, assisting with shipping and receiving, maintaining grocery and beverage inventory, and keeping the department sanitary and organized. The role is responsible for product integrity, load accuracy, safe product transfer and storage, and maintaining product quality and temperature-storage standards. The Order Selector stocks storeroom shelves, fills food and bar requisitions, follows departmental inventory-control standards, and organizes and sorts returnable products. The position involves working independently and as part of the purchasing team, interacting with truck drivers and delivery services, and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school degree or GED required.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Dependable, hardworking, detail-oriented, and a team player.
• Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to repetitively stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stack, and walk.
• Ability to tolerate temperature-controlled areas.
• Must possess good interpersonal skills, relate well to others, and build and sustain effective work relationships.
• Ensure departmental sanitation standards are consistently maintained.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of basic inventory practices.
• Ability to perform minimal desk work.
• Intermediate computer and spreadsheet knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain product integrity, load accuracy, and safe transfer and storage of products in the department.
