About The Position

The Order Selector is responsible for selecting Dairy Maid account items in a warehouse environment to ensure routes depart on time while maintaining the company’s required service level. The warehouse includes very cold temperature-controlled zones, with an average temperature of -18°F and work areas ranging from -5°F to ambient temperature. The position operates an electric pallet jack, places products onto pallets, racks, or totes, wraps orders with stretch wrap, marks orders for customer identification, and helps clean and maintain the warehouse. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to finish. Starting pay is $18.00 per hour, plus differential and incentive.

Requirements

One month or more of related experience.
Flexibility and willingness to work department demands, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to work in temperature-controlled zones ranging from -5°F to ambient temperature.
Ability to stand and walk regularly.
Ability to reach and handle objects, tools, or controls.
Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Ability to observe surroundings, packages, and labels at both close and far distances.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate an electric pallet jack to move racks, pallets, and totes.
Place products from pick slots onto pallets, racks, or totes and wrap orders with stretch wrap.
Mark orders for customer identification.
Clean the warehouse, including sweeping, stacking pallets, leveling product in pick slots, and removing ice and debris.
Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
