Requirements

  • Good understanding of inventory management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Willingness to learn & adapt.
  • Strong math, reading and writing skills.
  • Computer proficient and able to use company ERP systems.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Physical ability to lift 20 to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally with two-person lift.
  • 2-5 years of warehouse experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assembling, verifying, and preparing customer orders for shipment.
  • Quality control and packaging of finished product.
  • Assisting with inventory and supplies.
  • Communicating regularly with appropriate management.
  • Operating various types of powered industrial equipment.
  • Working in all stages of the distribution process, such as verifying, labeling, packaging, and shipment preparation.
  • Unpacking bulk items for packaging, labeling and shipment preparation, including building master cartons for bulk and packaged product.
  • Verifying picked orders to ensure accuracy and finalizing orders for shipping.
  • Maintaining storage for material and product inventory.
  • Assisting with recycling of cardboard and plastic as time permits.
  • Transporting materials, parts, supplies, and equipment, as well as packing and shipping product throughout the department via order picker, forklift or pallet jack.
  • Ensuring supplies, boxes, bubble wrap, tape, etc., are in stock and informing the manager of reorder levels.
  • Providing training/cross-training in equipment and process operations as needed.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the production area.
  • Overseeing compliance of practices and maintaining an orderly and safe warehouse and shipping area.
  • Developing and maintaining good working relationships and open lines of communication with all departments to ensure Department, Company, and Customer goals are achieved.
  • Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
