About The Position

Design Ready Controls is seeking an Order Picker to join its production team. The role uses a hand RF scanner to pick and kit parts for specific jobs, processes warehouse parts into inventory, and supports production operations. The position is on first shift. The employee will also take on additional responsibilities assigned by the manager. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Requirements

High school education or equivalent.
Good math, computer (Microsoft Office), and communication skills.
High motivation and ability to multitask and work well independently and with others.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
Ability to lift 50–85 pounds occasionally, with assistance.
Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours per day.

Nice To Haves

Forklift driving experience; internal certification is provided.
Prior RF scanner experience.
ERP experience.

Responsibilities

Use a hand RF scanner to pick and kit parts, steel, and panel enclosures for specific jobs.
Update the Inventory Control System and perform data entry.
Process consigned and non-consigned warehouse parts into inventory.
Perform cycle counts.
Learn to perform shortage reports and warehouse transfers, and work with aftermarket and drives.
Train to use stand-up and sit-down forklifts and the Big Joe.
Deliver parts to production lines as directed.
Maintain a safe, organized, clean, and efficient work area.
Assist with 5S and Lean activities as required.
Identify and assist with process improvement measures.
Assume additional responsibilities assigned by the manager.
