About The Position

Picks and packs customer orders in a high-volume zone picking station while maintaining established productivity and accuracy standards. The role uses a hand scanner to identify order requirements, retrieves products from the stock area, and packs them into appropriate boxes. The employee is expected to meet daily productivity and quality standards, use equipment and supplies without waste, maintain knowledge of operating procedures and company products, resolve basic operating problems, report other problems to the manager, and keep the work environment clean and organized.

Employees are expected and encouraged to participate in safety and health program activities, including promptly reporting hazards, unsafe work practices, and incidents to supervisors; wearing required personal protective equipment; and supporting safety committee activities. Duties and responsibilities may change or be assigned without notice.

The described work environment is fast-paced and involves standing on concrete floors for up to eight hours per day, exposure to loud noise, and a need for near vision. The physical demands are medium to heavy, including lifting up to 30 pounds.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Good attention to detail.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to use a hand-held RF scanner.

• Pull the correct product from the stock area and pack it into appropriate boxes.
• Meet required daily productivity standards for lines picked per hour.
• Ensure work meets quality standards.
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies without waste.
• Resolve basic operating problems using knowledge and experience, and report other problems to the manager.
• Maintain current knowledge of operating procedures and company products.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Participate in safety and health program activities, including reporting hazards, unsafe work practices, and incidents; wearing required personal protective equipment; and supporting safety committee activities.
