About The Position

The Order Picker I picks and packs customer orders in a high-volume zone picking station while maintaining established productivity and accuracy standards. The role uses a hand scanner to identify order requirements, retrieves the correct products from stock, and packs them into appropriate boxes. The employee is expected to meet daily productivity and quality standards, use equipment and supplies efficiently, address basic operating problems, and keep current on operating procedures and company products. The role also includes maintaining an organized work area and supporting workplace safety activities, including promptly reporting hazards, unsafe practices, and incidents, wearing required personal protective equipment, and participating in safety committee activities. Duties and responsibilities may change or be assigned as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Good attention to detail.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to use a hand-held RF scanner.

Related experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Meet required daily productivity standards for lines picked per hour.
Ensure work meets quality standards.
Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies without waste.
Use knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems and report other problems to the manager.
Maintain current knowledge of operating procedures and company products.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Immediately report hazards, unsafe work practices, and incidents to supervisors.
Wear required personal protective equipment and participate in and support safety committee activities.
