Order Management Director

MRI SoftwareCleveland, OH

About The Position

MRI is seeking an Order Management Director to lead the end‑to‑end global Quote‑to‑Executed Contract (Q2EC) function with a primary mandate to design, optimize, and govern the operating model, systems, and processes that enable scalable and compliant revenue execution. This role is accountable for enterprise‑level transformation of Order Management, ensuring that people, process, systems, and controls are aligned to support growth, complexity, and automation. The Director operates above day‑to‑day transaction execution, providing strategic direction, system ownership, and governance while enabling managers and teams to execute consistently and effectively. The role partners closely with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Revenue Applications to continuously improve how deals are structured, reviewed, and executed across systems, reducing friction, risk, and rework across the commercial lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred
  • 8–12+ years of progressive experience in Order Management, Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or Quote‑to‑Cash
  • Demonstrated experience owning and transforming enterprise processes and systems, not just managing teams
  • Strong understanding of enterprise software sales models, contracts, and order execution processes
  • Proven ability to lead through ambiguity, influence senior stakeholders, and drive change at scale
  • Experience leading operational transformation, automation, and system enablement initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Own and continuously evolve the global Order Management and Q2EC operating model, ensuring scalability, control, and alignment with MRI’s growth strategy
  • Define and govern global standards, policies, SLAs, controls, and escalation models for Order Management execution
  • Serve as the single point of enterprise accountability for Order Management outcomes, risk management, and compliance
  • Own end‑to‑end Order Management process design, from quote creation through executed contract, with clear process ownership across systems
  • Lead system optimization and enablement for Salesforce, CPQ, contract tools, and downstream revenue applications
  • Drive automation, simplification, and standardization, reducing manual effort, cycle time, and error rates
  • Partner with Revenue Applications for Order Management system requirements, roadmap prioritization, and design decisions
  • Lead Order Management readiness for system migrations, acquisitions, and new commercial models, ensuring process integrity and adoption
  • Provide functional leadership to the global Order Management organization, including senior managers, ensuring clarity of accountability between strategy, systems, and execution
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Sales, Finance, and Legal on deal structure, contractual risk, and process/system implications
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for complex or high‑risk transactions requiring cross‑functional decisioning
  • Establish and govern KPIs and management reporting focused on quality, velocity, risk, and scalability — not just volume
  • Deliver executive‑level insights on trends, systemic issues, control gaps, and continuous improvement opportunities
