About The Position

Our growing HVAC business is looking for a skilled problem solver to join our team as an Order Management Associate. We need an enthusiastic individual who can listen to customer service-related issues and offer solutions to our Commercial Sales Offices. This role involves developing and maintaining positive working relationships with Commercial Sales Offices nationwide, processing customer orders and managing them throughout their lifecycle, and answering incoming inquiries from Sales Offices regarding order changes, order expedites, product returns, and other general inquiries. The position also requires researching and resolving customer issues, working cross-functionally with sales offices, product management, factories, finance, scheduling, logistics, and shipping to meet customer requirements, proactively keeping current on product knowledge and customer service standard work, and using problem-solving skills to improve processes.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in customer service, inside and/or outside sales, preferably in an industrial environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must show the ability to handle difficult situations while remaining professional and courteous
  • Must demonstrate the ability to build strategic relationships across functions of an organization
  • Must exhibit the ability to identify process improvement opportunities and take initiative to implement them
  • Must actively seek and apply new knowledge, assimilate information quickly, and contribute to a culture of learning

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with Commercial Sales Offices nationwide
  • Process customer orders and manage them throughout their lifecycle
  • Answer incoming inquiries from Sales Offices regarding order changes, order expedites, product returns, and other general inquiries
  • Research and resolve any customer issues
  • Work cross-functionally with sales offices, product management, factories, finance, scheduling, logistics, and shipping to meet customer requirements
  • Proactively keep current on product knowledge and customer service standard work
  • Use problem solving skills to improve processes
