Order Fulfillment Specialist
About The Position
The Order Fulfillment Specialist works at The Fountainhead Group’s Schuyler Distribution Center and reports to the facility manager. The role supports warehouse and manufacturing operations by picking and packing orders for multiple customers accurately and on time, using technology to expedite the process. The position is onsite and follows a Monday–Friday shift from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with overtime as required. The role includes operating and inspecting warehouse equipment, moving inventory through the facility, preparing products for storage or shipment, maintaining a clean warehouse, participating in annual inventory, and handling other warehouse tasks or special projects as directed. The Fountainhead Group is a family-owned manufacturer of liquid sprayer products with manufacturing and distribution centers in Central New York.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a warehouse setting.
- Computer literacy.
- Ability to communicate, read, and write in English.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail and safety, and ability to prioritize and adapt to daily tasks.
- Ability to work well with others in a team setting and follow supervisors’ directions.
- Strong attendance record.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with warehouse lift equipment.
- Knowledge of warehouse tablets and scanners.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily forklift inspections and report deficiencies to the facility manager.
- Operate equipment safely at all times.
- Use inventory management software on a tablet or scanner to move inventory throughout the facility and pick products from warehouse stock for orders.
- Stack or place raw materials and finished products safely in racking or designated stack zones.
- Ensure products being stored or loaded for transport are saleable or properly secured to pallets for storage.
- Ensure products being shipped or stored are identified with shipping or storage tags.
- Build, wrap, and transport pallets and packages throughout the warehouse.
- Use a pallet jack or hand truck as needed.
- Shrink-wrap pallets using a stretch wrap machine or by hand.
- Maintain the cleanliness of equipment and the warehouse daily.
- Work on special projects as assigned.
- Participate in annual inventory.
- Perform other warehouse operations tasks as needed and directed.
