About The Position

The Fountainhead Group is seeking an Order Fulfillment Specialist for its Schuyler Distribution Center. Reporting to the facility manager, this role picks and packs orders for multiple customers accurately and in a timely manner, using technology to expedite the process. The position supports the company’s warehouse and manufacturing facilities. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with overtime as required. This is an on-site position. The hourly compensation range is $21.50 to $23.50. The Fountainhead Group is a family-owned and operated company that manufactures liquid sprayer products and has four manufacturing and distribution centers in Central New York. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a minimum of 2 years of experience working in a warehouse setting.
Be computer literate.
Be able to communicate, read, and write in English.
Be able to lift 30 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
Be a self-starter with strong attention to detail and safety, and be able to prioritize and adapt to daily tasks.
Work well with others in a team setting and follow directions from supervisors.
Have a strong attendance record.

Nice To Haves

Warehouse lift equipment experience.
Knowledge of warehouse tablets and scanners.

Responsibilities

Perform daily forklift inspections and report deficiencies to the facility manager.
Operate equipment safely at all times.
Use inventory management software on a tablet or scanner to move inventory through the facility and pick products from warehouse stock for orders.
Safely stack or place raw materials and finished products in racking or designated stack zones.
Ensure products being stored or loaded for transport are in saleable condition or properly secured to a pallet.
Ensure products being shipped or stored are identified with shipping or storage tags.
Build, wrap, and transport pallets and packages throughout the warehouse.
Use a pallet jack or hand truck as needed.
Shrink-wrap pallets using a stretch wrap machine or by hand.
Maintain the cleanliness of equipment and the warehouse daily.
Work on special projects as assigned.
Participate in annual inventory.
Perform other warehouse operation tasks as needed and directed.
