About The Position

The Order Fulfillment Associate performs general warehouse activities and supports BJ’s digital fulfillment initiatives, including BOPIC, Curbside, Express Pay, and Ship from Club. The associate pulls merchandise from pick lists, verifies items and quantities using a handheld RF scanner, moves merchandise to staging, and securely packages orders. The role requires meeting productivity and service-level expectations, maintaining a clean and organized OMNI/SFC area, following operating procedures and club policies, and providing friendly service to members. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function. The position is part-time.

Requirements

• Previous order-pulling experience is preferred.
• Big-box or wholesale retail experience is preferred.
• Previous RF scanner experience is preferred.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function.
• Ability to continuously lift objects up to 50 pounds; lifting and moving heavier or awkward objects over 50 pounds may be required with assistance.
• Ability to continuously move about on hard surfaces and frequently bend, climb, crawl, handle, pull, reach, and stoop to examine or scan merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Pull merchandise from pick lists and process member purchases in a fast, courteous, and friendly manner.
• Use handheld RF scanner devices to pick orders from the sales floor and verify merchandise.
• Move merchandise from the sales floor to the staging area.
• Communicate inventory or equipment problems, expired or short-dated items, and merchandise replenishment needs to the club team.
• Work with the team to pull merchandise from the reserve area when possible to avoid sales-floor replenishment.
• Pick orders promptly and meet productivity requirements, deadlines, service-level agreements, performance metrics, and goals.
• Follow operational efficiencies, processes, and established standard operating procedures for BOPIC, Curbside, and Ship from Club.
• Take responsibility for individual performance and work with club leadership when performance metrics are not met.
• Securely package orders according to standard operating procedures.
• Keep the SFC area neat, clean, and organized; perform housekeeping, including removing trash and cardboard.
• Handle damaged goods and spoiled products according to standard operating procedures.
• Process returns to the club and determine how to handle them through DDR or the Membership desk.
• Follow club policies and procedures, including dress-code standards.
• Provide service excellence, address and deescalate member concerns, and help maintain a safe, positive member experience.
• Work as a team to maintain GOLD Member and Club Standards, including a clean, organized environment and properly maintained order-storage bins.
• Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
