About The Position

The Order Fulfillment Associate performs general warehouse and digital order fulfillment activities, including pulling merchandise from a pick list, moving items from the sales floor to a staging area, and using a handheld RF scanner to verify merchandise and update its location. The role supports BJ’s digital initiatives, including BOPIC, Curbside, Express Pay, and Ship from Club, and ensures orders are picked, packaged, and processed according to established procedures, service levels, productivity expectations, and deadlines.

The associate helps maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area, handles damaged or spoiled merchandise and returns according to standard procedures, and communicates inventory, equipment, and replenishment issues. The position also involves delivering friendly service, addressing member concerns, following club policies and standards, collaborating with the team, and working in other departments as needed. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Requirements

• Previous order-pulling experience is preferred.
• Big-box or wholesale retail experience is preferred.
• Previous RF scanner experience is preferred.
• Ability to continuously lift objects up to 50 pounds.
• May need to lift and move heavy or awkward objects weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Pull merchandise from pick lists and process member purchases in a fast, courteous, and friendly manner.
• Use handheld RF scanner devices to pick and verify orders and merchandise.
• Move merchandise from the sales floor to the staging area.
• Communicate inventory or equipment problems, expired or short-dated items, and merchandise replenishment needs to the appropriate club team members.
• Work with the team to pull merchandise from the reserve area when possible to avoid sales floor replenishment.
• Pick orders promptly and meet productivity requirements, service-level agreements, performance metrics, and deadlines.
• Follow operational efficiency, process, and productivity standards and established procedures for BOPIC, Curbside, and Ship from Club.
• Securely package orders according to standard operating procedures.
• Keep the SFC area neat, clean, and organized, and perform housekeeping such as removing trash and cardboard.
• Handle damaged goods and spoiled products according to standard operating procedures.
• Process returns to the club and determine how to handle them through DDR or the Membership desk.
• Follow club policies, procedures, compliance requirements, and dress code standards.
• Deliver friendly service, resolve or de-escalate member concerns, and help maintain a safe, positive member experience.
• Work collaboratively to achieve goals and uphold daily GOLD Member and club standards.
• Take responsibility for individual performance and work with club leadership when performance metrics are not met.
• Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
