About The Position

The Order Fulfillment Associate supports accurate and efficient order fulfillment, timely shipping, and customer satisfaction. The role involves retrieving parts from the warehouse or other locations, processing incoming shipments and returns, issuing credits, maintaining inventory accuracy, and preparing parts for shipment. The associate collaborates with internal team members and contributes to continuous improvement and a clean, safe work environment. The position is located at Knox Auto Parts in Knoxville, Tennessee. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Occasional overtime may be needed as determined by the employee’s supervisor.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and professionalism in internal and external transactions.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team, and collaborate across functions.
Ability and willingness to share expertise with others.
Self-starter with the demonstrated ability to meet timelines and schedules related to the essential functions.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Ability to ambulate throughout the facility for most of the workday.
Ability to operate equipment in a workstation.
Ability to use both hands regularly with enough dexterity to safely operate basic hand and power tools.
Ability to lift, move, and carry objects and materials up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, including understanding inventory management and operating material handling equipment.
Forklift certificate.
Automotive experience.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with team members to support efficient workflow, teamwork, and high customer satisfaction.
Assist in receiving and processing incoming shipments.
Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts and restocking.
Accurately and efficiently fulfill customer orders and retrieve parts from warehouses or other locations.
Inspect and clean parts, package them appropriately, and prepare them for shipping.
Process returns and issue credits while maintaining inventory accuracy.
Continuously improve order fulfillment processes and procedures to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Perform other duties as assigned.
