About The Position

SWD Inc. is seeking a full-time Order Entry Specialist for its facility west of Chicago in Addison, Illinois. This role is crucial for managing incoming purchase orders and ensuring smooth shop order generation. The company, a leader in Metal Finishing and Fastener Sorting, has over 250 employees and operates in a 250,000 sq. ft. facility. SWD Inc. is a Drug-Free workplace, and all job offers are contingent upon successful completion of a Background Check, Drug Screen, and Pre-Employment Physical.

Requirements

At least 2 years of customer service or office experience
Excellent reading and writing skills in English, in addition to basic math skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to handle confidential information
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines
Capability to identify and resolve issues through analytical thinking
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Nice To Haves

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred
Manufacturing experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Interpreting and entering all incoming purchase orders into the computer system
Generating and distributing shop orders
Filing original purchase orders
Contacting customers for weight or process differences
Issuing and distributing hot list at the end of each day
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Practicing safe work habits, following outlined policies and procedures
Reviewing and comprehending Shop Orders
Being aware of SWD Inc. Company's policy and procedures, including the quality system as defined by ISO-9001, ISO-14001, and ISO-17025 and outlined in the SWD Inc.'s quality, environmental and laboratory systems policy, and procedure manuals
