About The Position

As an Order Entry Representative, you will be responsible for ensuring customer orders are entered, validated, and processed accurately. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to established processes, and effective collaboration across various departments including Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing. You will manage a full workload with minimal supervision, identify and resolve order-related challenges proactively, and build strong working relationships across departments. The goal is to consistently maintain high levels of order accuracy and productivity, serving as a reliable resource for order processing and issue resolution, and anticipating potential problems to prevent downstream impacts to manufacturing and customers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business systems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail, accountability, dependability, problem-solving mindset, initiative, adaptability, effective communication, collaboration, customer focus, and the ability to stay organized and productive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Learn company products, Order Entry procedures, and ERP systems within the first 30 days.
  • Understand workflows between Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and other departments within the first 30 days.
  • Process basic orders with guidance and increasing accuracy within the first 30 days.
  • Independently process standard orders and change orders within the first 3 months.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in ERP systems and order documentation within the first 3 months.
  • Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders to resolve order discrepancies within the first 3 months.
  • Manage a full workload with minimal supervision within the first 6 months.
  • Quickly identify missing or incorrect order information and drive resolution within the first 6 months.
  • Build strong working relationships across departments within the first 6 months.
  • Consistently maintain high levels of order accuracy and productivity within the first 12 months.
  • Serve as a reliable resource for order processing and issue resolution within the first 12 months.
  • Anticipate potential problems and proactively prevent downstream impacts to manufacturing and customers within the first 12 months.
