About The Position

Under close supervision, the Order Entry Operator verifies, edits, and enters incoming faxed and emailed orders while ensuring the order process flow is followed as instructed. The role reviews orders and related system errors, applies promotion information, routes supporting documentation to the appropriate Customer Service personnel, and handles special shipping requests. The position may also perform other duties consistent with the nature and level of the work.

Requirements

High school diploma required.
Proficient in the MS Office suite of applications.
Able to multitask, manage shifting priorities, and work independently and with others.
Able to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

Experience with data entry preferred.

Responsibilities

Enter orders received via fax or email and notify the supervisor of any issues.
Review incoming faxed and emailed orders for completeness and accuracy, including account and ship-to information; sort and time-stamp orders.
Distribute other documentation to appropriate Customer Service personnel, including expedite requests, pricing requests, and product-availability requests, for processing.
Expedite premium freight as required.
Highlight the shipping method, collect account, quote, ship-to purchase order, special markings, promotional references, drop-ship address, and other special requests on each order.
Review Claims Management System errors to ensure Standard of Performance requirements are met and errors are limited.
Ensure all appropriate promotional codes and promotion attributes are applied.
Perform other duties as required within the nature and level of the work.
