About The Position

At ULA, the Oracle/PL SQL Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing database-driven solutions within a fast-paced Agile environment. This role focuses on building and maintaining robust Oracle-based applications through advanced SQL scripting and PL/SQL development, while ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability. The developer will play a key role in database tuning, performance optimization, and supporting Oracle version upgrades and in-memory configurations. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, this position involves analyzing production issues, enhancing existing code, and developing new solutions aligned with business requirements. The Oracle / PL SQL Developer will also contribute to CI/CD processes using tools like Git and Jenkins, and leverage Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting to support database operations. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential, as the role requires close partnership with business stakeholders to design efficient, data-driven solutions that meet organizational needs.

Requirements

Oracle/PL SQL Developer with 4+ years of hands on experience with Oracle, SQL Scripting, and PL SQL Coding
Experience with Oracle version upgrades
Experience administering database connection administration
Strong knowledge of Oracle database tuning and performance analysis/optimization
Experience with Oracle in Memory configuration
Experience using Git, Jenkins.
Linux / Unix experience
Experience with fast paced Scrum Agile development
Must be able to multi-task and work collaboratively with the team.
Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field from an accredited college or university
Advanced expertise in Oracle Database technologies, including complex SQL scripting and robust PL/SQL development for enterprise-level applications
Deep understanding of database architecture, including schema design, views, triggers, stored procedures, and database connectivity management
Proven ability to perform database performance testing, tuning, and optimization, leveraging analytics to improve efficiency and scalability
Strong knowledge of data modeling and relational database principles, ensuring data integrity and optimal system performance
Demonstrated ability to maintain exceptional attention to detail while effectively balancing independent work and cross-functional team collaboration
