Oracle Fusion Enterprise Architect

About The Position

Tessera Labs AI is seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion Enterprise Architect to lead the architecture and design-authority function for an upcoming Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP transformation program for a fast-growing, consumer retail/apparel brand. The client is replacing a heavily customized, legacy on-premise ERP platform with Oracle Fusion Cloud, driven by scalability limits, international statutory compliance requirements, and IPO-readiness needs. This role will operate with significant autonomy, partnering directly with business stakeholders, running discovery and design workshops, and shaping the program’s technical direction from the ground up, working hand-in-hand with Tessera’s AI engineering team to accelerate discovery, business process mapping, and configuration. This is a foundational, program-defining role. You will lead Phase 0 discovery and target-architecture definition, own the Oracle Fusion Business Process Master List (BPML), and design the integration architecture connecting Oracle Fusion to a broad landscape of adjacent finance, tax, procurement, planning, HCM, and inventory/warehouse systems— while advising on parallel technology initiatives already in flight (PLM, WMS, EPM/consolidation, and payroll/HCM migrations) that must be sequenced against the ERP program.

Requirements

  • Experienced Oracle Fusion Enterprise Architect
  • Lead the architecture and design-authority function
  • Significant autonomy
  • Partnering directly with business stakeholders
  • Running discovery and design workshops
  • Shaping the program’s technical direction
  • Lead Phase 0 discovery and target-architecture definition
  • Own the Oracle Fusion Business Process Master List (BPML)
  • Design the integration architecture connecting Oracle Fusion to a broad landscape of adjacent finance, tax, procurement, planning, HCM, and inventory/warehouse systems
  • Advise on parallel technology initiatives already in flight (PLM, WMS, EPM/consolidation, and payroll/HCM migrations) that must be sequenced against the ERP program
  • Define and ratify the target-state reference architecture: Oracle Fusion core applications, PaaS extensibility layer, integration layer, data/analytics layer, and identity/security model
  • Map cross-functional value streams (Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report, Hire to Retire, etc.) across every connected system
  • Define the integration architecture connecting Oracle Fusion to adjacent platforms, including tax engines, procurement platforms, financial consolidation/EPM tools, HCM/payroll systems, e-commerce platforms, lease accounting systems, and an enterprise integration/iPaaS layer

Nice To Haves

  • AI-Accelerated ERP Transformation Program experience
  • Experience with a fast-growing, consumer retail/apparel brand
  • Experience with a lean internal IT organization
  • Experience working hand-in-hand with an AI engineering team
  • Experience with AI-assisted discovery of business processes embedded in the legacy ERP system
  • Experience advising on inventory management architecture options (e.g., native ERP inventory vs. retail-specific inventory/merchandising systems vs. external best-of-breed systems) and their integration implications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Enterprise Architecture workstream for a multi-pillar Oracle Fusion Cloud program, from Phase discovery through target architecture, design, configuration, and go-live.
  • Define and ratify the target-state reference architecture: Oracle Fusion core applications, PaaS extensibility layer, integration layer, data/analytics layer, and identity/security model.
  • Own the Oracle Fusion Business Process Master List (BPML) — scoping, tailoring, and validating the standard Oracle process taxonomy against the client’s actual operating model, including AI-assisted discovery of business processes embedded in the legacy ERP system.
  • Design the end-to-end application and integration landscape, mapping cross-functional value streams (Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report, Hire to Retire, etc.) across every connected system — not just Oracle Fusion.
  • Define the integration architecture connecting Oracle Fusion to adjacent platforms, including tax engines, procurement platforms, financial consolidation/EPM tools, HCM/payroll systems, e-commerce platforms, lease accounting systems, and an enterprise integration/iPaaS layer.
  • Advise on inventory management architecture options (e.g., native ERP inventory vs. retail-specific inventory/merchandising systems vs. external best-of-breed systems) and their integration implications.
