Oracle Data Migration Architect, Oracle Fusion Cloud and PeopleSoft
About The Position
Tessera Labs is seeking a hands-on Oracle Data Migration Architect to own the architecture and end-to-end execution of a multi-release finance data conversion from PeopleSoft and other legacy systems into Oracle Fusion Cloud for a large US financial services client. The architect will be the functional and data authority for the conversion, translating legacy data into Oracle Fusion Financials, Procurement, and Projects. This is a data conversion role, not an Oracle configuration role; configuration is owned by the client's systems integrator. The role owns mapping, business rules, FBDI load files, mock conversion cycles, and reconciliation, using Tessera's platform and AI agents for extraction, transformation, and loading at scale. The role works alongside Tessera Labs' Forward Deployed Engineers, offshore Oracle data conversion consultants, and Mosaic AI agents. It is a senior, on-site client-facing engagement and the primary Oracle point of contact with the client's finance team and systems integrator. The engagement is full-time capacity, either as a full-time employee or a fixed-term contract initially lasting 3 to 6 months, with possible extension. Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Oracle ERP, including at least 3 end-to-end Oracle Fusion Cloud data conversions or migrations.
- Strong functional understanding of Oracle Fusion Financials, including GL, AP, AR, and Fixed Assets, and working knowledge of Procurement and Projects (PPM).
- Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft Financials data structures as a conversion source.
- Deep experience with FBDI and, where relevant, HDL; load error resolution; and mock conversion cycles.
- Proven financial reconciliation experience, including subledger-to-GL and balance reconciliation with finance users.
- Experience working alongside a systems integrator on a large Oracle Cloud program.
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation.
- Excellent communication skills with finance stakeholders and executives.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities
- Own the conversion blueprint across releases, including objects in scope, dependencies, load sequence, and mock cycle plan aligned to client entry and exit criteria.
- Lead source-to-target mapping from PeopleSoft and other legacy sources to Oracle Fusion, including chart of accounts crosswalks and EDMCS hierarchies.
- Define business rules, value mappings, and data quality rules; review mappings and rules drafted by Mosaic AI agents.
- Decide cutover treatment for open items and in-flight transactions, including interim-state and reverse-mapping approaches where needed.
- Own FBDI and HDL template usage per object and coordinate with the systems integrator on load sequencing, environments, and load error resolution.
- Run mock conversion cycles end to end and diagnose Oracle Fusion load failures.
- Set reconciliation controls for counts, balances, aging, and subledger-to-GL; drive reconciliation to client exit criteria, including 100% reconciliation for Fixed Assets and Projects.
- Secure business validation and sign-off for each release.
- Serve as the senior Oracle point of contact on site with client finance SMEs, the data conversion lead, and the systems integrator.
- Lead mapping reviews, exception decisions, and sign-off sessions; explain differences in accounting language.
- Flag scope, risk, and readiness issues early, including source-system access, environment readiness, and SME availability.
- Guide offshore Oracle data conversion consultants and Forward Deployed Engineers on functional data questions.
- Act as the final quality gate for AI-generated mappings, transformations, and load files before they reach the client.
