About The Position

Tessera Labs is hiring an Oracle Financials Solution Architect to lead Finance to Manage across multiple customer engagements in Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle Fusion Cloud. The role covers General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, and the financial close. The architect leads discovery with finance teams, translates legacy finance models into Oracle designs, makes configuration decisions, configures the systems personally, and leads testing through go-live and initial closes. Customers may be moving from a different ERP, so the role requires understanding existing accounting processes and redesigning areas such as the chart of accounts, subledgers, intercompany, and close processes rather than simply migrating them. The position also has a substantial pre-sales and client-leadership component. The architect leads discovery calls, workshops, demonstrations, estimates, proposal contributions, RFP responses, and statements of work, and communicates solution plans to finance leaders, including CFOs and controllers. The role works alongside Tessera’s AI agents, applying professional judgment to design decisions and feeding learnings and reusable finance assets back into the platform. The engagement model is approximately 60% delivery across concurrent Oracle Financials engagements, 25% pre-sales and client leadership, and 15% platform enablement and product input. The role works US business hours with customers and distributed delivery teams, and includes travel to customer sites for workshops, pre-sales meetings, and go-lives as needed. It is remote and open to US-based or near-shore candidates in Latin America. US-based candidates are offered full-time permanent employment; near-shore candidates are offered a long-term contract.

  • At least three full-lifecycle implementations as a finance lead or solution architect, covering both Oracle E-Business Suite R12.x and Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials, with at least one implementation in each.
  • At least one implementation moving a customer from a different ERP family to Oracle, not only an upgrade between Oracle versions.
  • Deep hands-on configuration experience in General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Fixed Assets, and Cash Management in both EBS and Fusion.
  • Strong accounting and enterprise-structure design experience, including chart of accounts, ledgers, legal entities, Subledger Accounting or Accounting Hub, intercompany, multi-currency, and period-end close.
  • Proven Oracle pre-sales experience, including discovery calls, solution demonstrations, oral presentations, estimates, and contributions to proposals, RFP responses, and statements of work.

  • Experience leading finance testing through go-live and initial closes, including CRPs, SIT, UAT, and mock closes with reconciliation.
  • Ability to manage several engagements concurrently.
  • Ability to learn a new AI platform quickly and reach working fluency in the Tessera platform within the first months.
  • Excellent spoken and written business English and strong presentation ability for business and technical audiences.
  • Experience with distributed onshore, near-shore, and offshore delivery teams, with strong asynchronous communication discipline.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Cost Accounting experience in EBS Cost Management or Fusion Cost Management, including standard and actual costing, cost elements, receipt accounting, landed cost, and cost-to-ledger flows; exposure to Profitability and Cost Management.
  • Fusion Revenue Management (ASC 606 / IFRS 15) and Advanced Collections experience.
  • Financial reporting and consolidation experience with FSG, Financial Reporting Center, Smart View, and EPM or close tools such as Oracle FCCS or OneStream.
  • Experience migrating specifically from PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, or SAP ECC to Oracle Fusion, including chart-of-accounts redesign and opening-balance conversion.
  • Manufacturing, distribution, retail, or financial services industry experience.
  • CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent accounting qualification, or an Oracle Financials certification for EBS or Fusion.
  • Experience partnering with AI, automation, or RPA tooling in an enterprise delivery context.
  • Spanish, Portuguese, or German language skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead finance discovery with controllers and accounting, AP, AR, and treasury teams; examine legacy configurations, reports, and close checklists; and distinguish business requirements from habits and workarounds.
  • Translate legacy finance models into Oracle designs, including chart of accounts, ledgers, legal entities, business or operating units, and balancing segments.
  • Architect accounting design covering Subledger Accounting or Accounting Hub, intercompany, multi-currency, revaluation and translation, tax, and financial reporting.
  • Own Finance to Manage fit-gap analysis and recommend whether gaps should be addressed through configuration, process change, extensions, or third-party products.
  • Personally configure General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Fixed Assets, and Cash Management in both EBS and Fusion.
  • In Fusion, use Functional Setup Manager, Enterprise Structures Configurator, and rapid-implementation spreadsheets; move configuration between environments and maintain designs through quarterly updates.
  • In EBS, configure through setup forms, FNDLOAD, and iSetup, and design responsibilities and roles with segregation of duties in mind.
  • Lead end-to-end testing, including conference room pilots, system integration testing, UAT, defect triage, mock month-end closes, subledger-to-GL reconciliation, and trial-balance comparisons with legacy systems.
  • Where Cost Accounting is in scope, design and configure inventory and work-in-process cost flows to the ledger in EBS or Fusion.
  • Lead the finance component of Oracle pre-sales, including discovery calls, solution workshops, demonstrations, and oral presentations.
  • Shape solutions and estimates, including scope, approach, assumptions, staffing, effort, and risk; contribute to proposals, RFP responses, and statements of work.
  • Communicate solution and business implications to customer stakeholders at all levels, including finance teams, CFOs, and controllers.
  • Serve as the finance counterpart for client partners and Technical Program Managers, providing clear guidance on feasibility, timing, and budget.
  • Contribute Oracle finance knowledge and field learnings to the Tessera platform to improve agent-led discovery, configuration, and testing.
  • Create reusable finance assets, including reference chart-of-accounts designs, fit-gap libraries, configuration templates, close test scripts, and pre-sales materials.
  • Guide and review Oracle finance SMEs, including offshore team members, and maintain consistent delivery standards.
