About The Position

Trident Consulting is seeking an Oracle DBA for one of their clients in San Francisco, CA. This is a contract position with W2 employment. The role involves designing databases using Oracle Software and SQL, testing database applications, implementing structures with other DBAs, performing security updates, and assisting users with database functions. The Oracle APPS DBA will be responsible for installation, configuration, upgrading, administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, cloning, patching, backup, and restore of Oracle EBS. This includes reviewing application/databases, identifying performance bottlenecks, and resolving them. The role requires good knowledge of Oracle database/E Business suite architecture and components, routine DBA tasks, PL/SQL, and SQL. Experience with traces, tkprof, finding poorly performing SQL, profiling, and rewriting poorly performing SQL is also necessary.

Requirements

  • Oracle DBA / RAC experience
  • Good knowledge in Oracle database/E Business suite architecture and components
  • Experience in all routine DBA tasks including health checks, troubleshooting issues and installations
  • Good knowledge of PLSQL, and SQL
  • Knowledge of traces, tkprof and find poorly performing SQL.sql, profiling, rewrite poorly performing SQL

Responsibilities

  • Designing databases using Oracle Software and knowledge of SQL

  • Collaborating with other Oracle Dbas to implement structures
  • Performing regular security updates to keep user data safe
  • Helping users to navigate and use database functions
  • Installation, configuration, upgrading, administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, cloning, Patching, Backup and restore of Oracle EBS
  • Reviewing application/databases, identify performance bottlenecks and fixing those
  • Health checks, troubleshooting issues and installations
