About The Position

This is a temporary project for an Oracle DBA with an estimated duration of 12+ months. The role involves administering, monitoring, and maintaining Oracle 19c databases on RAC and Exadata infrastructure in both production and non-production environments. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing Oracle backup and recovery strategies, automating database administration processes, performing database performance tuning, and configuring data masking workflows. The position requires extensive experience with Oracle Database Administration, PL/SQL, Oracle 19c Multi-Tenant Architecture, RAC, Red Hat/Oracle Linux, and various Oracle tools and methodologies. While a remote option is mentioned, 100% on-site availability at the client's site in Tallahassee, FL is required.

Requirements

  • Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Tallahassee, FL
  • Experience with Oracle Database Administration and PL/SQL (10+ years)
  • Experience with Oracle 19c Multi-Tenant Architecture and RAC Databases (2+ years)
  • Experience with Red Hat Linux and Oracle Linux operating systems
  • Experience in following processes and procedures to standardize Database installations and configuration
  • Experience with Java, Linux and Unix
  • Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting (bash, Perl, or equivalent scripting tools)
  • Experience with Oracle performance tuning using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) or third-party tools
  • Experience with Oracle backup methodologies, data pump (expdp/impdp), and Automatic Storage Management (ASM)
  • Experience with logical database design, data models, SQL/PL/SQL, Oracle Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, and Database Triggers
  • Experience with data masking using Test Data Management tools (developing masking standards, rules, algorithms, and automation pipelines for Oracle databases)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SQL performance tuning and database architecture 5+ years
  • Experience with Oracle Exadata
  • Experience with converting traditional databases to Oracle Multitenant Container Model architecture

Responsibilities

  • Administer, monitor, and maintain Oracle 19c databases on RAC and Exadata infrastructure in production and non-production environments
  • Monitor alert logs, OEM alerts, and system alerts; respond to and resolve database incidents and complex Oracle issues
  • Design and implement Oracle backup and recovery strategies; execute and validate backup operations
  • Automate, script, and streamline database administration processes using Unix/Linux shell scripting and other scripting tools
  • Perform database performance tuning of SQL, PL/SQL, objects, and queries using OEM and third-party tools
  • Configure and execute data masking workflows; develop and maintain enterprise-wide data masking standards, rule sets, and automation pipelines using Test Data Management tools
  • Standardize database installations and configurations; support production environments, troubleshoot data infrastructure issues, and participate in after-hours production support as needed
