About The Position

We are seeking a highly experienced and team-oriented Oracle Cloud Payroll Functional Lead SME for a US-based contract role. This position requires up to 50% travel to customer sites in Atlanta and Dallas as needed. The role involves acting as the primary functional lead for Oracle Cloud Payroll, understanding business requirements, and translating them into system configurations. You will be responsible for managing and configuring Oracle Cloud Payroll applications, leading conversion activities, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure an optimal Payroll Cloud design that integrates seamlessly with other functional processes. Additionally, you will create and update test scripts for various testing phases, maintain system documentation, suggest procedural improvements, and provide expertise on best practices. Assistance with key system processes such as payroll cycle management, monthly payroll accruals, and garnishment/lien processing will be required, along with guidance for technical streams on integrations, conversions, and reports.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience operating as an Oracle Cloud Functional Payroll Lead.
• Led a minimum of 3 full life-cycle Oracle Cloud Payroll implementations as the Functional Payroll Lead.
• Led all testing cycles related to Oracle Cloud Payroll including Payroll Parallel testing.
• Demonstrated expertise hands-on implementing Payroll on multiple end-to-end projects.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle HCM Cloud Tools such as HCM Extract, HDL, PBL experience are preferred.
• Lead monthly and quarterly patch testing/issue resolution, perform impact analysis and testing.
• Lead complete software development lifecycle including analysis, design, configuration, programming and unit testing.
• Assist clients with business requirements and suggest changes for process improvements.
• Produce end-user documentation and facilitate knowledge transfer.
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills, problem solving/debugging skills.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with a diverse group of people.
• Work independently, take initiative with minimal supervision yet can participate as a team member with a willingness to help where needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, active listening and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as Oracle Cloud Payroll Functional Lead SME to understand business requirements and interpret them to appropriate configurations of the Oracle Cloud Payroll module.
• Be an expert in the configuration of and management of the Oracle Cloud Payroll applications.
• Lead the definition and validation of various payroll related conversion activities.
• Coordinate efforts in cross-functional modules to implement the optimal Payroll Cloud design that supports other functional processes.
• Create and update test scripts needed for functional testing, system and integration testing, user acceptance testing, and payroll parallel testing.
• Maintain system related processes and documentation and suggest changes to procedures.
• Advise process improvement and provide insights into best practices.
• Provide assistance in key system processes (i.e. payroll cycle management, monthly payroll accruals, garnishment and lien processing, etc.).
• Work with technical streams and provide guidance on integrations, conversions and reports.
