About The Position
The OR Staff Nurse works as an experienced Operating Room RN on the internationally recognized surgical team at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a world-class academic medical center and major teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. The Operating Room is a fast-paced, collaborative, and innovative environment supporting complex surgical care. The hospital has 47 operating rooms, including one Hybrid OR and two AMIGO rooms, with programs in burn and trauma surgery, comprehensive stroke care, cardiac surgery, lung and renal transplantation, robotic surgery, and a broad range of complex surgical specialties. The nurse works alongside board-certified and fellowship-trained surgeons, anesthesiologists, CRNAs, and Magnet-designated nurses. Part-time and full-time roles are available.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Current registration in Massachusetts.
- For newly licensed nurses, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required.
- Two years of operating room experience required.
- Able to work a weekend rotation per the MNA contract.
