About The Position

The Oncology Staff Nurse at Brigham and Women’s Hospital cares for patients with a broad range of hematological and solid-tumor cancer diagnoses. The nurse provides patient and family education and support throughout admission, administers oncology treatments, and collaborates with the care team to provide safe, excellent care. The role offers the opportunity to receive training to administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, stem cell transplants, and CAR-T treatments, and to participate in the BWH shared governance structure and contribute to improvements and new ideas. The BWH/DFCI Cancer Center also supports research studies and protocols. This is a regular, 36-hour-per-week onsite position on a variable night schedule at Tower 4BC7C, located at 75 Francis Street. Weekend rotation is required in accordance with the MNA contract.

Requirements

Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
Current registration in Massachusetts.
For newly licensed nurses, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required.
Able to work weekend rotation per the MNA contract.

Nice To Haves

Prior oncology experience is preferred.
Membership in professional organizations is recommended.
Certification in a specialty area is encouraged.
