About The Position

The Oncology Staff Nurse works in the Hematology/Oncology Float Pool at The Brigham and Women's Hospital. The nurse cares for patients with a broad range of hematological and solid-tumor cancer diagnoses, providing patient and family education and support throughout admission. The role includes administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, stem cell transplants, and CAR-T treatments, and working collaboratively to deliver excellent care in a safe environment. Nurses may participate in the BWH shared governance structure to support improvements and new ideas.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current Massachusetts nursing registration.
• For newly licensed nurses, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required.
• Able to work weekend rotation per the MNA contract.

Nice To Haves

• Prior hematology/oncology experience.
• Prior Epic experience.
• Membership in professional organizations is recommended.
• Certification in a specialty area is encouraged.
