Oncology Staff Nurse BWH
About The Position
The Oncology Staff Nurse works in the Hem/Onc Float Pool at Brigham and Women's Hospital, caring for patients with hematological and solid-tumor cancer diagnoses. The nurse provides patient and family education and support throughout admission and administers treatments including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, stem cell transplants, and CAR-T. The role involves collaborative work to provide excellent care in the safest environment. Nurses may participate in the BWH shared governance structure and help develop improvements and new ideas. The position is onsite, scheduled for 36 hours per week, and works a night shift with a weekend rotation per the MNA contract.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Current registration in Massachusetts.
- For newly licensed nurses, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required.
- Able to work weekend rotation per the MNA contract.
Nice To Haves
- Prior hem/onc experience preferred.
- Prior Epic experience preferred.
- Membership in professional organizations is recommended.
- Certification in a specialty area is encouraged.
