Oncology Staff Nurse BWH
About The Position
The Staff Nurse works in the Oncology service line at Brigham and Women's Hospital, caring for patients with hematological and solid-tumor cancer diagnoses. The role includes patient and family education and support throughout admission, and administering treatments such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, stem cell transplants, and CAR-T. Nurses work collaboratively to provide excellent care in a safe environment. The role also offers opportunities to participate in the BWH shared governance structure and support improvements and new ideas. The oncology team supports research studies and protocols through the BWH/DFCI Cancer Center.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Current registration in Massachusetts.
- For newly licensed nurses, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required.
- Able to work weekend rotation per the MNA contract.
Nice To Haves
- Prior oncology experience is preferred.
- Membership in professional organizations is recommended.
- Certification in a specialty area is encouraged.
