About The Position
This is a variable RN position in the Operating Room (OR). The role involves circulating cases, assisting with turnover cleaning, transporting patients as needed, and scheduling cases. The unit operates Monday through Friday from 06:45 to 23:15, with variable shifts based on department needs. Travelers are scheduled for 40 hours a week, with a possibility of 32 hours if a holiday occurs. The department covers call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with staff assigned call approximately 1-2 times a week and up to 2 weekends a month. Call back requires being within a 30-minute radius of the hospital. Orientation is on the day shift for up to 1 week or at the manager's discretion. Travelers must complete a minimum of 39 shifts during the contract duration if RTO is requested and approved. The OR has 6 suites plus one dedicated to C-sections, with 4 to 6 rooms running simultaneously daily. It is described as a small, busy, and efficient OR.
Requirements
- 2 to 3 years at minimum of circulating cases in a hospital setting
- BLS
- State of Hawaii RN license
