About The Position
US Fertility has an immediate opening for an OR/PACU Recovery RN with RMA of New York in Eastside and Brooklyn, New York. This per diem role supports patients through preoperative care and recovery, with a focus on compassionate, technically skilled fertility care. The schedule is as needed on weekdays, with at least one weekend shift per month and participation in a holiday rotation. Shifts are 4 to 6 hours, with 2 to 4 shifts per month, between 6:00 AM and 6:30 PM Eastern Time. Compensation is $55 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Requirements
- Active RN license.
- Current BLS and/or ACLS certification.
- More than 1 year of nursing experience.
- Strong technical and clinical assessment skills.
- Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment.
- Ability to communicate accurately and concisely.
Nice To Haves
- PACU experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform an initial preoperative assessment, develop a plan of care, and explain the subsequent phases of surgery.
- Provide comfort measures and psychological support to patients and family members.
- Care for patients who have received IV or conscious sedation.
- Administer medications intravenously and by other routes as directed.
- Provide patient education.
