Fertility OR/PACU Recovery Room RN Part-Time
About The Position
US Fertility is seeking a part-time OR/PACU Recovery RN for RMA of New York, serving Eastside and Brooklyn, New York. The role supports patients through preoperative assessment and education, perioperative care, and recovery, with an emphasis on compassionate support and safe care for patients receiving IV or conscious sedation. The position is scheduled for two to three days per week, totaling 20 hours per week. Schedules vary between 6:00 AM and 6:30 PM Eastern Time. The role includes one to two weekends per month and two to three holidays per year. Compensation is $55 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Requirements
- Active RN license.
- Current BLS and/or ACLS certification.
- Over one year of nursing experience.
- Strong technical and clinical assessment skills.
- Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment.
- Ability to communicate accurately and concisely.
Nice To Haves
- PACU experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform an initial preoperative assessment, develop a plan of care, and explain the subsequent phases of surgery.
- Provide comfort measures and psychological support to patients and family members.
- Care for patients who have received IV or conscious sedation.
- Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed.
- Provide patient education.
