About The Position
US Fertility is hiring a per diem OR/PACU Recovery RN for RMA of New York, serving its Eastside and Brooklyn, New York locations. The role supports patients throughout the surgical experience in a fertility-care setting and works collaboratively with clinical teams. The schedule is as-needed on weekdays, with at least one weekend shift per month and participation in a holiday rotation. Shifts fall between 6:00 AM and 6:30 PM Eastern Time; employees work 2 to 4 shifts per month, each lasting 4 to 6 hours. Compensation is $55 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Requirements
- Active RN license.
- Current BLS and/or ACLS certification.
- More than one year of nursing experience.
- Strong technical and clinical assessment skills.
- Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment.
- Ability to communicate accurately and concisely.
Nice To Haves
- PACU experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform initial preoperative assessments, develop a plan of care, and explain the subsequent phases of surgery.
- Provide comfort measures and psychological support to patients and family members.
- Care for patients who have received IV or conscious sedation.
- Administer medications intravenously and by other routes as directed.
- Provide patient education.
