About The Position
US Fertility is hiring a part-time OR/PACU Recovery RN for RMA of New York, serving its Eastside and Brooklyn locations. The role provides perioperative and recovery care to fertility patients, with a focus on clinical assessment, patient and family support, medication administration, and education. The schedule is two to three days per week for 20 hours per week. Weekday schedules vary between 6:00 AM and 6:30 PM Eastern Time; the role also includes one to two weekends per month and two to three holidays per year. Compensation is $55 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Requirements
- Active RN license.
- Current BLS and/or ACLS certification.
- Strong technical and clinical assessment skills.
- Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment.
- Ability to communicate accurately and concisely.
Nice To Haves
- More than one year of nursing experience.
- PACU experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform initial preoperative assessments, develop plans of care, and explain subsequent phases of surgery.
- Provide comfort measures and psychological support to patients and family members.
- Care for patients who have received IV or conscious sedation.
- Administer medications intravenously and by other routes as directed.
- Provide patient education.
