About The Position

Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) is seeking a part-time Optometrist to provide care in structured, outpatient clinic-based environments in Eastern North Carolina. The role serves senior populations in coordinated, community-focused settings and functions as an extension of the clinical team. The opportunity offers a predictable, flexible schedule and professional support without the overhead or administrative burden of running a private practice.

The position operates within a community-based outpatient clinic model, with clinic staff on-site full time, organized scheduling and patient flow, coordinated team-based care, and a value-based model focused on seniors. CMC manages equipment, supplies, scheduling, and billing logistics so the optometrist can focus on delivering vision care.

This is not a high-volume retail model. Optometrists are integrated into established clinic environments and represent CMC at partner locations. The organization emphasizes quality over volume, consistency and predictability, administrative and logistical support, long-term clinic partnerships, and ethical, mission-driven healthcare delivery.

Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program.
• Active North Carolina optometry license.
• Strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills.
• Comfort practicing in outpatient clinic environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams and vision assessments.
• Diagnose and manage common ocular conditions within scope of practice.
• Prescribe corrective lenses and provide appropriate treatment recommendations.
• Collaborate with clinic staff as part of an integrated care team.
• Deliver patient-centered care in a structured outpatient setting.
