About The Position

Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) is seeking a part-time Optometrist to provide care in structured, outpatient clinic settings at partner locations throughout New Mexico. The Optometrist will work as an extension of the clinical team in coordinated, community-focused settings serving senior populations. CMC provides equipment, supplies, scheduling, and billing logistics so the provider can focus on delivering vision care.

The role involves traveling to assigned service areas, which may include Los Alamos, Grants, Gallup, Socorro, Truth or Consequences, Bayard/Silver City, Alamogordo, and Las Cruces. The schedule is 1–2 weekdays per month, typically from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. There are no night or weekend shifts and no billing or administrative responsibilities. Compensation is $1,200 per visit/day. Mileage reimbursement may be available based on travel requirements.

Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program.
• Active New Mexico Optometry License.
• Willingness to travel throughout assigned New Mexico service areas.
• Strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills.
• Comfort practicing in outpatient clinic environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments.
• Diagnose and manage common ocular conditions within the scope of practice.
