About The Position

FocusVision is seeking a caring Optometrist to provide temporary coverage during an upcoming maternity leave from October through January. This flexible opportunity is a great fit for a doctor who enjoys connecting with patients, stepping into a supportive private practice environment, and helping a trusted Longmont, Colorado practice continue providing the attentive eye care its patients count on.

Since 2003, FocusVision has been a trusted part of the Longmont community, known for quality care, personal attention, and a patient experience that feels welcoming from start to finish. With approximately 18 patients per day, the practice offers a steady, manageable pace that gives the doctor time to provide thorough exams, answer questions, and build genuine connections. During this coverage period, you’ll join a collaborative team that values consistency, compassion, and making each patient feel well cared for. Your support will make a meaningful difference by helping patients maintain continuity of care while their regular doctor is away.

Requirements

• Optometry license in Colorado

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive eye exams
• Evaluate patients’ visual needs
• Diagnose and manage eye health concerns
• Recommend treatment plans, prescriptions, or follow-up care as needed
• Partner closely with the practice team to help patients feel comfortable, informed, and supported throughout their visit
• Keep the patient experience running smoothly
• Help with routine vision care
• Support patients with ongoing eye health needs
