About The Position
This part-time opportunity is with an independent optometric practice providing comprehensive eye care in a professional, patient-focused setting. The practice offers routine eye exams, contact lens fittings, ocular disease management, and personalized patient education to support long-term vision and eye health. It has modern technology, steady patient flow, and technician support. The role is suited to a recent graduate or experienced optometrist who values quality care, efficiency, and a supportive clinical environment. The schedule is 1–2 consistent Saturdays per month, from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Compensation is $625 per day, with productivity incentives. The position uses Optos, Eye Trust EMR, and a Visual Field Unit.
Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school.
- Valid state optometry license or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Authorization to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and eye health.
- Diagnose and manage ocular diseases and conditions.
- Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and vision therapy as needed.
- Keep accurate patient records and maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in optometry.
- Educate patients on eye health and prevention strategies.
