About The Position

This is a long-term contract role for an Options Specialist Consultant in New York City. The role involves documenting daily options operational tasks, identifying and implementing process improvements, and partnering with Product and Engineering teams. The consultant will support and expand the exchange-traded derivatives advisory program, covering index and single stock option strategies. Key responsibilities include project planning and execution, data collection and analysis, continuous improvement of processes, streamlining client onboarding, strategic and tactical engagement with management, and participating in platform enhancement development and testing. The role also includes documenting operational and risk oversight functions.

Requirements

  • Ideally 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of options fundamentals (Greeks, pricing, expiration cycles, etc.)
  • Familiarity with the financial services industry, including an understanding of investment products and strategies
  • Proven experience in managing complex projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring. Ability to develop detailed project plans, manage timelines, and ensure successful project delivery
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Experience in collaborating with various stakeholders, including upper management
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data; ability to work with big data sets
  • Intermediate/advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Advanced skills in MS Access or other databases are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Document daily options operational tasks such as expiration processing and account-level risk management
  • Independently identify process inefficiencies, design improvements, and implement scalable solutions
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to prioritize features and test the functionality of our options products
  • Support and expand our exchange-traded derivatives advisory program, covering a range of index and single stock option strategies
  • Develop detailed project plans, and ensure projects are executed efficiently within set deadlines
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret large data sets to support decision-making processes
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of current processes. Recommend and implement improvements based on data analysis and feedback
  • Streamline processes to ensure seamless client onboarding and life cycle management
  • Collaborate with management on both strategic initiatives and tactical projects
  • Participate in the development and testing of platform enhancements
  • Document various operational and risk oversight functions including the maintenance of Key Procedural Controls over a broad range of programs
