About The Position

As an Optical Service Rep at Henry Ford Health, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing friendly, professional, and efficient service. You will resolve inquiries, complete sales transactions, and coordinate services with other departments to support a seamless patient experience. The role is part of Community Care Services, which works to expand access to care through community-based programs and connect patients with health resources, support services, and care coordination.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic math skills.
• Previous retail, hospitality, or customer service experience.
• Ability to demonstrate effective organization skills and prioritize multiple tasks and daily activities.
• Complete all training courses as directed by Henry Ford OptimEyes.

Nice To Haves

• Previous optical experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct patients in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
• Investigate and resolve patient inquiries concerning merchandise, service, and billing in person or over the phone.
• Complete and accurately record sales transactions in the HFO Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Work closely with all HFO departments to coordinate patients' services.
