Optical Mechanical Assembler 2nd Shift

Intelligent Manufacturing Solutions LLC•Londonderry, NH
•$25 - $29

About The Position

The Optical Mechanical Assembler performs fabrication and assembly work involving optical components. Tasks include profiling, cutting, milling, grinding, beveling, blocking, polishing, edging, cleaning, and testing with appropriate machines and equipment. The role uses metrology and inspection tools to verify component accuracy and quality, and requires reading and understanding blueprints and technical drawings. The assembler follows safety and equipment-maintenance procedures and may build or modify equipment used to test precision optics. At higher levels, the role may lead others in using that equipment. Work is generally semi-routine, with defined procedures and solutions; some assignments may be moderately difficult and require fact-finding or adapting documented processes to related situations. The scope of impact is typically limited to the immediate team or department. The position also involves electronic and mechanical assembly activities, including soldering, cleanroom work, ESD procedures, and careful handling of lenses, mirrors, and filters to prevent contamination or surface damage. The stated base rate is increased by 10% for second shift.
