About The Position

Optage, a division of Presbyterian Homes and Services, is seeking a medical administrative professional to join its Home-office team as the Optage Services Coordinator to support Optage Hospice frontline workers with the coordination of care services, medical records and office support. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year experience in home health, hospice, senior housing, or health care related environment.
  • Must understand basic medical/clinical terminology and reimbursement.
  • Must have strong communication, problem solving skills, and customer service focus.
  • Must be able to work independently and multi-task with minimal supervision.
  • Must be a team player, willing to take directions and accept responsibility for meeting specified objectives.
  • Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.

Responsibilities

  • Provides support for our team of nurses, social workers, chaplains, and other front-line workers by completing administrative tasks in support of the clinicians and other field staff.
  • Obtaining medical records for review.
  • Scheduling of clinicians.
  • Electronically filing and follow up for necessary paperwork.
  • Communication with clinics, hospitals, families, and our PHS sites & partners, providing excellent customer service.
