About The Position

Amentum is hiring an Ops Watch Officer for its Intelligence and Cyber Group in McLean, Virginia. The position supports a counterterrorism watch center and operations environment, providing counterterrorism awareness for NCTC and the broader counterterrorism community. The role involves monitoring classified and open-source information, assessing and prioritizing intelligence and operational traffic, and ensuring timely delivery of critical information to officials and policymakers. The position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and supports 24x7 watch operations on twelve-hour shifts under a rotating Panama Plus schedule: two weeks of day shifts (4 AM–4 PM) and two weeks of night shifts (4 PM–4 AM). The posting gives a compensation range of $100,000–$145,000. Employment is contingent on successful completion of drug screening; Amentum is a drug-free workplace.

Requirements

Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
At least three years of experience.
Bachelor’s degree.
Demonstrated knowledge of all-source information, including HUMINT, SIGINT, IMINT, open-source information, and ELINT.
Ability to support 24x7 watch operations and work twelve-hour shifts.
Familiarity with a variety of Intelligence Community databases, networks, and environments.
Effective use of MS Office applications in a multi-level security setting.
Successful completion of the required drug screening process.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Constantly monitor multiple channels of classified and open-source media for worldwide threats related to the United States.
Sort and prioritize intelligence and operational message traffic.
Provide early warnings and alerts to key officials and facilitate timely flow of critical information to those who need it.
Produce alerts and responses to time-sensitive events, providing policymakers with intelligence related to developing and changing situations.
Alert customer leadership to breaking events worldwide.
Complete applicable safety training and responsibilities, support emergency response tasks as needed, and participate in safety committees and teams.
Comply with Amentum’s Quality Policy, applicable quality-system documents, customer contracts, and operational, safety, quality, and environmental procedures and policies.
