About The Position

As a Health Support Technician, you will play a pivotal role in our healthcare team, focusing on both clinical and clerical support functions. This includes laboratory support such as collecting, labeling, and processing specimens, providing essential Spanish translation services to assist clients with limited English proficiency, and preparing clients for clinic visits by accurately recording height, weight, temperature, and medical history. You will also support physicians during patient care, treatments, and procedures, ensuring equipment readiness and sterilization. The role involves maintaining efficient clinic operations by preparing exam rooms and guiding clients through their visit, as well as monitoring and managing medical supplies. Clerical duties include utilizing the HMS system to schedule appointments for clients for tests and procedures, and providing administrative support for referrals and follow-ups. You will also be responsible for preparing reports to ensure compliance with state programs and assisting in specialized treatments.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge in laboratory procedures
  • Proficient in phlebotomy techniques
  • Proficient in electronic medical records
  • One year of clinical experience in a medical facility
  • Proficiency in venipunctures

Responsibilities
