About The Position

This is a full-time OPS position within the Department of Juvenile Justice. OPS employment is a temporary employer/employee relationship used solely for accomplishing short term or intermittent tasks, and OPS employees are at-will, subject to pay changes, work assignment changes, and terminations at the recommendation of the employer. The position is located in the Knight Building, 2737 Centerview Drive, Tallahassee, Florida 32399. The coordinator is responsible for reviewing and completing Central Communications Center incidents within the Office of Prevention Services, updating from contract providers, and determining if an administrative program review is required. They also review provider deficiencies in PMM (Program Monitoring and Management), make recommendations based on policies and procedures, and assist in resolving these deficiencies. The role involves effective communication with external providers, maintaining positive and collaborative working relationships with the Office of Inspector General, and providing technical assistance as the Office of Prevention Services liaison. Additionally, the coordinator provides technical assistance, training, consultative services, and direction for the development, implementation, evaluation, and expansion of programs of service in public agencies and local governments, and performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and complete the Department of Juvenile Justice's Central Communications Center incidents within the Office of Prevention Services, responsible for reviewing all CCC incidents assigned to Prevention and update from contract providers, determine if an administrative program review is required.
  • Reviews provider deficiencies in PMM (Program Monitoring and Management) and make recommendations based on policies and procedures.
  • Assists in resolving deficiencies placed in PMM (Program Monitoring and Management).
  • Communicates effectively with providers external to the Program, maintaining a positive and collaborative working relationship with the Office of Inspector General.
  • Provides technical assistance as the Office of Prevention Services liaison between the Department and providers.
  • Provides technical assistance, training, consultative services and direction for development, implementation, evaluation and expansion of programs of service in public agencies and local governments.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
