About The Position

This is an Other Personal Services (OPS) Opportunity. This position works 29 hours per week. The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) provides highway safety and security through excellence in service, education, and enforcement. Requirements

  • Skill in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Experience utilizing Online Registration and Identity Operating Network (ORION) and/or the Florida Real-time Vehicle Information System (FRVIS) and the Cash Receipt System (CRS).
  • Ability to organize and maintain filing systems.
  • Skill in collecting fees and handling refunds.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
  • Experience processing & routing incoming/outgoing mail.
  • Skill in proofreading documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Skill in composing correspondence.
  • Skill in typing and performing data entry.
  • Skill in using general office equipment such as a personal computer, telephone, scanner, calculator, fax, and copier.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
  • Ability to understand and apply rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to provide customer service to both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating and reviewing license and registration applications and other data for approval/rejection based on compliance with eligibility standards and regulations.
  • Entering and maintaining data electronically using various databases including Online Registration and Identity Operating Network (ORION) and Cash Receipt System (CRS).
  • Composing correspondence and responding to email inquiries.
  • Receiving and routing incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Handling payments, refunds, daily financial reports and reconciliation of financial ledgers.
