About The Position

This position involves managing daily front desk operations, scheduling patient appointments, maintaining electronic health records, processing referrals, and handling post-op documentation. Additionally, the role provides administrative and academic support, including basic technical troubleshooting, coordinating luncheons, managing donations and equipment warranties, coordinating shadowing and externship opportunities, and assisting with course grading processes and predoctoral course or clinic-related issues. This is a time-limited position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and one year of appropriate experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily front desk operations, including answering and returning calls
  • Schedule patient appointments and obtain prior dental records as needed
  • Create or update patient electronic health records in axiUm
  • Confirm patient appointments
  • Process referrals, including scanning, logging, and scheduling
  • Handle post-op documentation, including collecting notes from providers, scanning into patient charts, and submitting to referring offices
  • Provide basic technical troubleshooting and submit IT requests for faculty and staff
  • Notify faculty and staff of outstanding required trainings
  • Coordinate Luncheons (catering orders and room reservations)
  • Manage donations
  • Manage equipment warranties and repair submissions
  • Coordinate shadowing and externship opportunities
  • Confirm scheduled Courtesy Faculty participation
  • Work with faculty to maintain and update calendars with course lectures
  • Manage course grading processes (exporting from ExamSoft to Canvas, updating assignments, submitting final grades)
  • Attend Canvas course-building meetings with course directors
  • Assist with predoctoral course or clinic-related issues as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
