About The Position

Center For Sight is a multi-specialty physician group providing care in ophthalmology, optometry, dermatology, and cosmetic facial surgery. The practice describes itself as market-leading, with a focus on superior patient service, state-of-the-art technology, innovative procedures, and world-class physicians. The Ophthalmic Technician role offers intensive classroom and hands-on training for people pursuing a career in ophthalmology, including applicants without prior medical-field experience. Working alongside ophthalmic surgeons and optometrists, technicians learn to perform diagnostic testing and exams and provide medical information that supports patient care and medical and surgical treatment. The training also offers a path toward advanced, internationally recognized certification. This is a full-time position located in Venice, Florida, with travel to other locations as necessary.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in a professional environment with a strong customer-service focus.
Ability to learn and apply complex concepts to daily work.
Ability to communicate warmly and empathetically with patients.
Team-oriented approach and motivation to help and support others.
Motivation and resilience to develop a medical career within a surgical practice.
